Books on Dreams and Dream Imagery
The Art of Dreaming:
A Creativity Toolbox for Dreamwork
by Jill Mellick
I took a class with Jill Mellick at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology that was awfully fun. We made dream mandalas, clay sculptures, haiku poetry and so much more. This book presents more than 50 ways to explore your dreams using all the expressive arts. It’s a way of loosening up and accessing insights that might not come any other way. Bring it to your dream group and play together! It’s a great way to get to know each other.

Where People Fly and Water Runs Uphill:
Using Dreams to Tap the Wisdom of the Unconscious
by Jeremy Taylor
Jeremy Taylor is one of the most respected teachers of dreamwork today. This book is an excellent primer on dream interpretation and is especially valuable for people who wish to explore dreams with others or start a dream group.

Inner Work:
Using Dreams and Creative Imagination for Personal Growth and Integration
by Robert A. Johnson
This was the first book I read that discussed how to use dreamwork techniques for exploring both dreams and active imagination. It's particularly interesting for people wanting to explore the concept of personal symbology.

Conscious Dreaming:
A Spiritual Path for Everyday Life
by Robert Moss
Robert Moss has gone further with dreamwork than I've dared to go, applying shamanic journeying techniques from more than one tradition in addition to the usual assortment of contemporary dreamwork techniques. His information about using dreams to make contact with guides and angels might be interesting.

Awakening Intuition
by Frances Vaughan
This book has a nice chapter on working with dreams and personal imagery for insight and guidance. She includes some basic exercises and information about the role of intuition in creativity and problem-solving.
